The Holiday's can be a very distracting time of the year, and most of us struggle to stay productive at this time of the year. Here are some ways to stay productive:

Happy Holidays

Make a Plan

Creating a plan you can follow for the last few months will help with making sure you do not get distracted. Knowing what needs to be completed before you take time off can get overwhelmed without a concrete plan. Make sure to write down what needs to be completed and have a schedule when things will be done. When you have a detailed plan you have already taken out of equation of taking time to figure out what needs to be done.

Take Time Off

Taking some time off believe it or not could be very beneficial. Some of the reasons are; during this time you can have some time to run errands, helps with recharging your mind to be ready to come back less distracted and not as overwhelmed.

.

Don't Multitask

A book that we recommend is The One Thing, by Gary W. Keller. This book is about not multitasking. Most people believe they are great at multitasking which is not true, they end up not getting anything done or slow down. This book teaches us that we need to focus on one task at a time, which will actually save more time. When you multitask you are more likely to make mistakes, which means more time wasted.

Exercise

Not just to keep that extra weight off from eating on the unhealthy side for the holidays but it will also help keep your mind sharp. The Holidays can be stressful, working out helps with negative energy. If you currently do not have a workout routine, add one a 30 minute cardio session will make you fell so much better. Why wait until new years to get in shape, start now to get a great habit going.

Collaborate

Work as a team, figure out a way you can work with the people you work with to end the year smoothly. This could be important if a lot of people are taking the time off, so the employees who are not taking time off is not overwhelmed with work.

Do Your Work

Sometimes the best thing to do stays on task with your work, follow the schedule that you have in place to get things done.

Thanks for taking the time to read our blog, Happy Holidays.
